The Cat Came Back by Cordell Barker is one of my all time animated film favorites (and obviously by others as well as it was nominated for an Oscar – didn’t win though, what a shame). When I first saw the film years ago I was blown away by the hyperactive animation style, completed by the folksong. The film is full of subtle (and not so subtle) jokes.
